Lexi Cardenas began playing violin at age seven in her hometown of El Paso, Texas. Growing up with this new string program, Lexi took part in city and state events like the Philharmonic Strings, El Paso Community Symphony, All-Region Orchestra, and All-Region and All-State Solo and Ensemble.
Lexi left El Paso to study violin performance with Lynn Ledbetter at Texas State University. Professionally, Lexi has played with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, the Brazos Valley Symphony, Laredy Philharmonic, the Temple Symphony, the Round Rock symphony, and the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. She is the featured soloist for movies Golden Afternoons, Manevolence, and Flight of Magic. Lexi has played and recorded with many bands including The Texas Fiddlers, Michael Martin Murphey, Black Irish Band, The Ars Supernova, Mighty Mountain, The Wild Now, and MESSAGES. She is currently the front woman of indie rock band Lexi and the Bleached Roses. Lexi currently lives in Austin, TX where she plays live music and teaches violin. |
